This topic has been mentioned in some of my posts, but now I feel the need to elaborate on this.
What does it mean to be the light to someone's darkness?
We don't know what a person is going through; some of them may seem to be happy, but they might just be concealing their true feelings. Whatever they feel, let's just make them feel good in the ways we can. Doing this, we get a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment along with the receiver who feels the same.
How can we be a light to someone's darkness?
There are various methods in doing this- but here are a few:
Smile: This is the best and easiest way. This is something that anyone can do. When people receive a smile, they feel delighted- so will we.
Emotional Support: As friends, it is our duty to provide emotional support to each other in times of need. Even if we can't do much, just being there is more than enough.
Social Media Platforms:Sometimes, people use social media for cyber bullying, money, ruining people's lives, etc. Why don't we just use it to uplift people in some sort of way(posting quotes, encouraging messages that make other people feel good, etc.)? Many people are doing it nowadays, which can make a huge difference.
What effect will this have on others?
Inspiration: If someone receives a smile, they will realize its effect and be encouraged to do the same to others.
Gratitude: We will obviously be grateful to someone for lighting our path and have the desire to repay them.
Sometimes, there may be no effect, but just let it be...
The light may reflect back on us

Once you have lit up somebody's dark world, you don't need to linger there - let them shine by themselves and pass on the lights...
Don't consider it as a duty- take it as a chance to change a life
Warm Regards To All,
Medha
