What is concentration?

  • Putting your heart and soul into a particular activity

  • Not allowing any distraction to come in your way

  • Determined to accomplish a task

What triggers distraction?

This world is moving so fast... like a roller coaster- when we go up, we fear the descent which will come at any moment; some of us may prepare for the drop too. In the same way, in real life, we fear our downfall even when we ascend. This worry may be a constant distraction for some of us.

This is one of the main factors that hinder concentration, others will be unfolded to us as we go forward(they already have for some).


How can we improve our concentration?

Everything can be achieved only through incessant efforts, patience and calm. Let's take a look a few ways to improve our concentration:

  • Try techniques such as meditation to stimulate concentration. It may take time for some of us, while the others may catch up quickly- that's where we need patience. It may be difficult and frustrating(saying with experience)- but we'll get through it eventually.


  • Keep any source of distraction away(electronic gadgets, books, etc) and maintain a clean workplace. This can boost our confidence levels; such a tidy place will make us feel like doing our work properly. I really don't know why we feel that...perhaps it might be human nature to like clean things??(Exception to people who could concentrate more in messy places)


  • Let's keep reminding ourselves that we can concentrate and that the results will be amazing. It works for me! This stimulates my determination, this makes it easier for me to accomplish my task.
