Sincerity is the quality of accomplishing a particular task or goal with wholeheartedness and not just for the sake of finishing it.
I used to be reluctant to do almost everything I was told, so I would be given something like a chocolate bar to do my work. When I heard that I would be rewarded, I did my work immediately- not for the sake of finishing it, but only for the sake of the reward.
I don't think this is a good practice, since children, who always see their duty as something they are ordered, to do won't even care about the results, but only about the reward. If we don't want to change the policy(even if changing would be advisable), we could add another condition: the reward will be given not only if you accomplish the task, but also if you do it with sincerity and make it look sincere. If children get used to this, they will have a tendency to do everything wholeheartedly.
It's okay to do things just for the sake, but it mustn't be a habit and we must act according to the situation.
Why should we be wholehearted?
#1 No guilt
Sometimes, we may feel guilty because we didn't perform our task properly... when it's too late. In order to avoid such a situation, we must work sincerely.
#2 You will be appreciated (whether you know/want it or not)
When people see our sincere work, they will appreciate our efforts - this will make us secretly happy since most of us love to be acknowledged (especially when we are praised).
#3 You will be content with yourself
Ahh ... who doesn't love that indescribable feeling- contentment. When we work sincerely, we will feel happiness from within. It may be short-lived at times, but let's just enjoy it when it comes!

Sometimes we need to reward very small kids when they do simple chores or good deeds to inculcate values in them. 😊
