We've always heard them say health is wealth, right? What does it actually mean?
Well, we value money a lot and we try to take care of it, not spend too much or less (unlike spendthrifts and misers) and save it for times of need- our health is just like that: we need to value it, we mustn't exhaust ourselves or not move at all.
Physical health(healthy in body) and mental health(healthy in mind) both are equally important, since one cannot function without the other: when we aren't in the mood to exercise, we won't, our health will start deteriorating. When we don't want to or can't exercise, sometimes, we tend to feel negative emotions such as anger, dissatisfaction, sadness, disappointment in ourselves, etc. We need to maintain both of them and not get into such situations.
We all know to maintain our physical health(drink plenty of water, eat healthy, exercise, etc) and mental health(tell adult if there's any problem you're facing, remind yourself of happy things, consult therapist if your efforts are going in vain), but we don't always have to do it the classic way- let's give it a twist(but the impact must still be there).
Let's take food as an example. If we are following a diet or eating healthy, we could explore new healthy ingredients which also satisfy our taste buds. We are enjoying the taste- but we will still remain healthy.
As far as mental health is concerned, we could do activities that we really like: talking to family or friends, listening to our favorite music, do what makes us happy, etc.
I may not know much about this topic, but I do know that this is an area we really need to focus on and that prevention is better than cure both in terms of health and wealth.
Warmest Regards,
Medha
