Day 42: Love you

Love can mean so many things: trust, embrace, harmony, expression of true feelings, deep friendship and... acceptance.
If we spread love in the little ways we can, we could change a few lives. Too little? Well... yes, it is- but it matters a lot!
There may be Ebenezer Scrooges(not necessarily misers) here and there who have no place for warmth in their hearts and are unable to thaw the ice, but it isn't exactly their fault- the situations they were raised in must've had a great impact or it could be a traumatic incident too! Here's what we could do: whenever we come across a Scrooge, let's give him/her a smile even if Bah Humbug would be the reply- but at least we tried. This doesn't only apply to all the Scrooges out there- this can be for anyone(happy, sad, angry, calm). Some of them will be happy.
Let's talk about self-love. No, I don't mean being self-centered, thinking no end to ourselves, being braggarts or insulting others- I mean accepting ourselves for who we are. Whatever others say about us, we know who we are(at least we must try to know ourselves if we don't)- our strengths and weaknesses.
Every single person in the world is unique, since nobody could ever be just like them. The world is filled with crores and crores of such unique ones. Isn't it cool?
Let's not change ourselves just for others- this is where acceptance comes! If someone truly loves us, they will accept us for who we really are. If not, let it be.
If we really need to accept ourselves, we need to get to know ourselves very well: identify our strengths, weaknesses, personality, etc. This is the key element for a peaceful and content life.
Warmest Regards,
Medha
