Day 45: Endurance

Endurance is the ability to withstand and be immune to fear, failure, tough times, etc. I feel that this is a very important quality since it will make us very strong human beings.


Here's a thing to remember in order to be able to endure things:


What good will endurance do?


We will:


- feel good about ourselves

We have the ability to withstand issues... so that will obviously make us feel good about ourselves and have a higher self-esteem, right?

- be liked by many people

Endurance is a very impressive quality indeed, so people will appreciate us and be impressed by us (Remember: this mustn't be the main reason why we develop such a quality- we need to develop it to adjust with others, different surroundings, different lifestyles, etc.).


- be able to do our tasks better

Many tasks require endurance; if we have it, we can do our tasks better than we did them last time, since we will be used to going down- this is much better than escalating into heights(though both of them are important).



How to develop the quality of endurance?


#1 No problem is permanent

It is very normal for problems to come and go. Problems can have many different solutions and we need to find them instead of just fretting over issues as if they're the solutions.


#2 Be patient

It can take more time or less time to develop endurance- but patience is required if it takes extra time; this could be a practice too...


#3 Get used to the downs


We need to get used to many downs in order to enduring, be it failure or sadness, and come out of it...


Remember: Endurance doesn't mean tolerating everything and anything that comes your way- we need to be firm at times.
