Hey y'all, guess which day it is today?

Today is Paul McCartney's 80th birthday! I've been a huge fan of him for a long time. From what I've heard about him, he's a very hardworking, dedicated and kind person. I'm dedicating today's post to him.

Sir James Paul McCartney CH(The Order of the Companions of Honour) MBE (The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) was born on June 18th, 1942. He's considered one of the most successful musicians and composers in the world of music. He's well known for hits such as I Saw Her Standing There, She Loves You and I Wanna Hold Your Hand from his time with the Beatles as well as his collaborations with other celebrities (Say say say). He is also well-known for the Lennon(another member of the Beatles)-McCartney songwriting partnership in his time with the Beatles. He was known as the 'cute Beatle'.

He taught himself how to play the piano and the guitar as a teenager; his father and other artists of the time were his muses. He started his music career in 1957 when he joined Lennon's skiffle band, the Quarrymen, which extended into the Beatles in 1962, releasing many hit songs, being very experimental(initiated by McCartney) with their music, and disbanded in 1969 after releasing their final album Let It Be.

He married Linda McCartney(née Eastman) in 1969; she had supported him and been a part of his band Paul McCartney and the wings throughout their marriage until her death in 1998. He then remarried twice.

I'm honestly very impressed by him as he has done much for himself, and that separation hasn't affected his work. He's also stood by issues such as poverty and exploitation of animals. I hope to be half as good as him at music someday!

Once again, happy birthday to Macca(his nickname) and hope you achieve more in your life.

The Beatles Or BTS, music is still music.

Warmest Regards,

Medha
