Day 6: Every Moment

The reason I chose this topic for today is to make sure that others don't repeat the same mistakes as me...procrastinating. To procrastinate is to delay or postpone a particular action. It may seem like a harmless, innocuous habit at first, but it will screw you up at some point- trust me, I've been there!
This is a problem that most adolescents and youth face(even people of other age groups), but one thing's for sure: it is the impact of some issue they encounter (mostly psychological) or perhaps a dilemma. Not so long ago, my life used to be quite messy and unorganised: I used to neglect my studies, reluctantly agree to be disciplined and so on- but there was one thing that used to relieve me...YouTube videos. Whenever I was asked to study, I would take my tablet and watch... until I was caught!
My parents didn't shout at me, but I was embarrassed at my actions and noticed that a lot of time was being wasted. I tried to hide it, but my attempt of doing so went in vain- that was when I realised that I was lacking an essential skill... self control. I also realised that I need to help myself and no one else would be of much help- so I decided to test myself: whenever I get notifications from YouTube while studying, I thought to myself, what's the point- that would stop me from watching YouTube( it worked- I wasn't distracted anymore).
Eventually, my hard work paid off: I can concentrate better, I feel like studying, I don't mind following a bit of discipline in my life- but that doesn't mean that I have stopped watching videos; I have reduced my screen time to one hour per day.
My advice to you: Stop procrastinating! Try a bit harder- it will eventually pay off.
